This concept occurs when an\u00a0<em>a priori\u00a0<\/em>religious consciousness meets the historical aspects of reli- gion. In such situations, people feel in the level of \u2018between\u2019 which consists of (1)\u00a0<em>a priori\u00a0<\/em>religious reflections of consciousness; and (2) religious practices within the context of cultural and social sphere. Both elements will be realized in the non-essential activities such as creeds, rules and worship.<\/p>\n<p>This article uses the above concept and analyzes both the results of interviews and observations on three interfaith marriage couples. The study concludes that there is no single model of\u00a0<em>peaceful competition\u00a0<\/em>in the practices of interfaith marriage. Conditions of threshold between\u00a0<em>a priori\u00a0<\/em>historical and religious part is related to the \u2018sense of \u00a0self \u2019 and \u2018entities of other\u2019.
