The results of the study reveal that Mahmud Shaltut interpretes the term of the\u00a0tawaffa\u00a0(Q.S \u00c2li \u00b4Imr\u00e2n [3] verse 55) and\u00a0tawaffaitan\u00ee\u00a0(Q.S. al-Maidah [5] verse 117) in accordance with the original meaning of \u00a0\u201cdeath\u201d. On the contrary, Siradjuddin Abbas exegetes the term of\u00a0tawaffa\u00a0by \u201cgrasp\u201d. These differences are because Siradjuddin Abbas uses the method of\u00a0tafsir bi al-riwayah\u00a0and consideres them as hadith[s]\u00a0sahih. On the contrary, Mahmud Shaltut uses the method of \u00a0tafsir bi al-ra\u2019yi\u00a0and does not use such hadith[s].
