It focuses on the elaboration on the meaning of the prayers recited throughout the process of running the tradition. As a phenomenological study, it sees the tradition through the \u201eglasses\u201f of functional theory. It argues that the tradition held by the Pesantren is a sort of living hadith. Not only do the people engaged in this tradition have some hadith as the basis, they also regard this tradition as a cult that must not be detached from their lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keywords: Living Hadith, Tradition, Nyewu Shalawat, Pesantren Miftakhul Jannah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Abstrak<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Penelitian ini mengkaji tradisi &#8220;Nyewu Shalawat&#8221; di Sekolah Berasrama Islam Miftakhul Jannah Kalipucang Kulon-Batang. Fokus kajian dalam penyelidikan ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna doa dalam pelaksanaan tradisi dalam masyarakat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah pendekatan fenomenologi dengan teori fungsional. Hasil kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi yang dikembangkan di Sekolah Berasrama Islam<br \/>\nMiftakhul Jannah, Kalipucang Kulon-Batang adalah fenomena hadis hidup. Di samping itu, terdapat beberapa hadis yang menjadi asas dalam amalan ini.
